Typus Musice The Highland Park Recorder Society offers its members and friends the opportunity to find playing companions, increase musical skills, and improve musicianship through regular ensemble playing under the expert musical leadership of Dr. Lynn Gumert, the Music and Artistic Director of the Zorzal Vocal and Instrumental Music Ensemble and of the Highland Park Recorder Society. Dr. Gumert is the Composer-in-Residence of the Highland Park Recorder Society aka the Garden State Sinfonia, and holds a D.M in Music Composition from Indiana University - Bloomington.

We welcome players of strings and woodwinds, people who reflect the ethnic, racial, and cultural diversity of our demography, professionals, students, and adults of all ages, and at all levels. Our meeting space, the United Methodist Church, is handicapped accessible and we welcome people with disabilities.
