Donna Messer will conduct a multi-sensory music experience for Pre-K classes in Elizabeth Schools demonstrating sopranino, soprano, alto, and tenor recorders, using Early Music, and giving children the opportunity to express the melody, beat, and mood of music by singing, marching and dancing to music played on recorders.
Donna Messer, HPRS President, will collaborate with over 200 students and their music teachers during Music in Our Schools Month, to perform a concert with 2nd and 3rd grade students performing music from around the world on recorders, and their music teachers, performing music of Bach and Purcell, with soprano voice, violins and basso continuo.

CONCERT! The Highland Park Recorder Society will celebrate its 30th Anniversary Year with a concert, Hits and Highlights from 7 Centuries, with an ensemble of recorders, strings, and basso continuo, featuring music from 7 centuries,Saturday, March 18, 2017, 7:30 P.M., United Methodist Church, 323 George Street, New Brunswick, NJ 08901. It will feature World Premiere of the Highland Concerto, a neo-Baroque Concerto Grosso by John Frankek, especially commissioned for this event.
